Below are the answers to the questions most prospective clients ask us. If your question isn’t answered here, please contact us directly

How much does it cost to hire you?

This varies for each client, so unfortunately it’s impossible to give an indication of price on the website. The cost depends on how many musicians you wish us to supply, how far you are from our home base in the Midlands and, to a lesser extent, how long you want us to play. Prices for weekday engagements are cheaper than weekends, while some special days such as Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve carry a premium, as is usual in the entertainment industry. Please get in touch for a formal quotation.

How do I go about booking? Do you require a deposit?

If you decide to go ahead with a booking, we will ask you to supply some basic information. Using that, we will prepare a contract and an invoice. A deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking.

Can you pencil in this date for us…?

We’re sorry, but we cannot undertake to hold any date without a firm booking, completed contract and paid deposit.

How long do you play for? Can I let you have a list of songs I want you to perform?

A typical engagement consists of either two one-hour or three 45-minute sets. While we’re happy to consider suggestions of songs you’d like to hear, we reserve the right to programme our own setlists, based on our wide experience of such issues as tempi, song keys and “dance floor dynamics”.

Can you learn this song for my wedding..?

For your “first dance”, we’re happy to perform any song of your choosing. If we don’t know it, we’ll learn it. If you wanted us to learn other material specifically for your event, we would have to charge a premium to reflect the extra research and rehearsal time such work would involve.

Do you provide music for when the band is on a break?

Yes, we are happy to supply recorded music direct through our PA, or we’re equally happy to let your venue handle that aspect through its own sound system.

Can you do any of the songs listed on your ‘Repertoire’ page, regardless of line-up?

Unfortunately not. Unlike some bands, which simply use backing tracks to take the place of any live musicians not hired, we tailor our all-live performance to suit the configuration of the line-up hired for the event.

Do you have public liability insurance (PLI) and is your equipment certified by Portable Appliance Testing (PAT test)?

Yes, and we are happy to email proof of either of these to venues requiring it.
