Need a swing, jazz or blues function band for your wedding reception, civil partnership, corporate event or party? Feels Like Midnight offers a fantastic combination of swing, jazz and blues, played by some of the country’s top, professional musicians.

We’re all professional musicians with a friendly yet business-like approach to what we do. We’re there to entertain you and your guests, not to be the stars of the show.

Choose your format

Feels Like Midnight is led by pianist and vocalist Aidan Goldstraw and is available for hire in several formations, to suit your event and your budget:

  • Duo: Not really a “band” configuration as such, nevertheless this combination of Aidan and singer Cath Ralph is a superb mood-setter for a relaxing evening or classy drinks reception.
  • Swing Trio: This version of the band features Aidan on piano and vocals, joined by double bass player David Burndrett and drummer Scott Ralph. This configuration is an ideal version of the band if your budget is limited but you’d like music for dancing, for example.
  • Chamber Trio: Ideal for quieter receptions and “meet and greets”, this Feels Like Midnight line-up features Aidan, Cath and either Scott on guitar (did we tell you he’s a multi-instrumentalist?) or John Watson on saxophones and flute.
  • Quartet: This is the classic jazz dance band line-up. Recommended for all evening functions. Aidan on piano and vocals, Cath on vocals, Scott on drums and David on double bass. Quality entertainment.
  • Quintet: Add John on sax and flute and you get the full monty! For when only the best will do - a fantastic live music experience for a truly memorable occasion.

* Please note: Because of the intricacies in co-ordinating five people’s diaries, very rarely we may have to substitute a musician. All deputies used are quality musicians already known to us, who share our high standards.

Repertoire

Our repertoire ranges from the Great American Songbook standards through to smooth, contemporary pop, creating a quintessentially cool musical experience.
